A former employee of HSBC India endured painful incidents of discrimination and humiliation at the workplace on the basis of her ethnicity.
Nitika Kumari, customer due diligence (CDD) analyst at HSBC, explained in a Linkedin post that she has been observing the comments of colleagues and seniors over the past year, wondering, "Isn't this what corporate life is all about?"
He realized that there came a time when everything became unbearable for him and due to this he had to face serious mental health problems and panic attacks.

Nitika, who had read an incident this year in April, said that her colleague Ajameera Ashok had made an astute comment on her appearance.
He wrote in his post, "If you use those exact words, you will get a kiss, you will reach Bihar, which is exactly what it means - I will slap you harder than you, you will go back to Bihar."
Nitika said that she followed the protocol and thought about reducing Ayeesha Talukdar to her management, "but it did not yield any result." He said he then called for a team meeting where he was told that his colleague had not physically assaulted him, "it was just a hateful comment that I couldn't handle."

Nitika said that she reached out to the team and filed a complaint against Ashok Posh (Protection of Women from Sexual Harassment Act). However, on the 3rd month, he received an email from the four teams asking for details, but no action was taken on the same.
Then he said that he had told the sculptor that he had done it quickly because he had missed his notice. But there was another loss during his smoke break which compelled him to write the post
Nitika claimed that CDD team's emo Vinay Kumar Rajuladev approached her during a smoke break and made objectionable remarks.

Elaborating on his comment in detail, he said: "The comment that you made gave us the kind of boys we have not seen till today, the only poor person who has kept the name of the team cursed. Which means - you should have made a boy like me. Don't see, I have ruined the name of my only team.
Then he asked him to explain the reason for his comment, to which he replied, Apart from you, we have not seen any boy of Yoke's team smoking a cigarette, which means - He has never seen any boy of Yoke's team smoking a cigarette. . ,
